well it did say pre order on the 7th and not order on the 7th. but yeah another month of waiting....now i might just get a filco tenkeyless from amazon....

I've been in the market for a good mechanical since the beginning of Feb. I use a Unicomp at work that I am in love with (and lust after when away from it for too long), but I'm one of those dudes with a girlfriend and a bedroom computer setup... there seem to be many of us. I've also decided that the Das Keyboard aesthetic is not for me. I'm also not interested in doing currency conversions or learning pictographic languages, so that basically leaves elitekeyboards and the Leopold Tenkeyless, which is EXACTLY what I want and couldn't be happier that I'll be able to get it, for a decent price to boot...

But man, is my patience ever being tested! Two months for the keyboard I want/need. Is there a support group for Leopold product-page refreshers?

get the filco tenkeyless from amazon. and then in 20-30 days return it (assuming youve kept it in a New Condition) and then get the leopold from EK.

Might as well keep the Filco then.

Either pre-order the Leopold and stop complaining about having to wait (it's already been a 4 month wait...), or just get the Filco.

I was used to using the numpad once...then I bought a Filco tenkeyless and got unused to it :p

I feel like the only reason to have a numpad is if you do your own finances or work in a field with high number entry. Even then, you're better off just getting a separate numpad. The tenkeyless form factor is great and...sexy!

Anyhow, I am getting cold on the Leos, since I know nothing about them and am poised to get something now...I'm looking at the Realforce and I like Unicomp.  I may look at Leos again down the road when they're available.  I like the price point and it's apparent general expected rep by the masses here and the general confidence in EK, so I would like to check it out for my possble first hack at Blue Cherries.  I already know I like BS.
I've been interested in trying what I've been told to be the closest to the BS flavor Cherry, which is Blue.  I can wait in other words.

My goodness people.  End of March means end of March.  If you don't want to wait order something else.  No one is holding you captive and forcing you to order.  If you want to complain do so in April if the board doesn't ship.

I love the Space Saver, although mine came damaged.  The front seam tabs are busted apparently but not gapping, just "spongy".  I can "sqeeze" and see it move to and fro but not gap, so fine w/me.  I called "Jim" at Unicomp and he said send it back but eh, I'm not gonna bother.  Unicomp is good about this by the way, as far as I have experienced their customer service so far but have not tested them to the hilt because I am keeping it, since it's for me and not all that bad.  I still am happy w/it.

is the led itself removable? I have no idea how it's designed

I'm liking the idea of no lights at all, although a non windowed one would hide it pretty well I'm sure, just have to find something to match the keyboard
