Yeah, I didn't have the right size heatshrink at first either. Just need to play around with different sizes until you get the fit you want.

Yeah, cable from my leopold, 1/4'' dia on the sleeving, 1/4'' and 1/2'' heatshrink. I'm about to make a purple one

For those requesting a tutorial it is not that hard. Go to your hardware store and buy computer cable sleeving. you can get it in different sizes. The only tricky part is making a clean finish where the cables end. In the picture above I think that the ends are simply tucked under the rubber head.

Can you share what thickness sleeve and heat shrink you used? They seem to come in a lot of sizes

I am not sure, what the size of the heatshrink is. I took my keyboard to the hardware store, they had wheels (you payed by length) with different cable sleeve sizes (and colours). My Choc Mini has 4mm cable so I got a 3mm for it to fit on nicely. The shopkeeper supplied the heat shirk suitable for my cable.

If any of you want to make one, take the cable with you, a visual reference of the cable is the best way to make sure that you get the right size. I'

P.S. If any of you are attempting to do this in a keyboard with a non-detachable cable (like me) please share how you made a nice finish in the end of the cable that touches the keyboard. I have tried heat shrink and it looks horrible

Sleeve size is 1/4'' In the original pictures above, I used a standard size USB A Hood. I also tried it again with a smaller size heat shrink and came up with this, which also didn't have a very good heatshrink seal:

I just got some ordered parts in and just made these a few minutes ago:

So...
Sleeve size: 1/4'"
Heatshink size: 3/8"
USB A 1.5" End Connector
