What's crazy is that I can eat more than when I did when I was fat. When I eat at a buffet, people I go with get tired of watching me eat. It appears that when you get to a certain level of cardio fitness, your metabolism is so much higher and you burn so many calories on a daily basis, you are almost always hungry.

this is true.

during my training, i ate 8-9 times a day. small stuff tho. mostly fruit and stuff just to keep my metabolism up.

ow if a bianchi decides to be at an awesome price i wont say no to it. but chances are, it won't.

Find a late 90's or early 2000's Italian made bianchi that someone bought and never really used. Its easy to find one of those with a reynold's steel frame and campy components still in great shape. A bike like this is much nicer than a similar priced new trek/can/giant/etc one with low end components built to last not more than a couple years. If you take care of it, the frame will pretty much last forever.

good to know!

now where are my damn girl scout cookies?

The casco is metal and that is awesome, this catlike is the one I have and it's pretty sweet and keeps your head cool.

Also if you are set on Cannondale get one of the ones that is made in the USA. Also aluminum sucks. just saying.

lol all i can say is good luck. dumping one semi expensive hobby for something that could extend your life is a great challenge to set yourself, however be prepared to get just as hooked on bike gear as keyboards, and they are many many many times more expensive.

my bike is worth more then my car :(

that's the beauty of it!

im not rich, so it will limit my hoarding of stuff. with keyboards, they aren't too expensive as i always found a way to get what i wanted.

Yea, but that is Singapore, where it seems like people have to yield to cars, even when you're at a crosswalk. That seriously annoyed the **** out of me while in Singapore.

Should move up here to NorCal, some good biking! Not as good as Europe, but still pretty solid :)

It would be interesting to see bid prices go up, but it is already pretty high up there.

Good luck with your new hobby, by the way.

Awesome, road bikes are a lot of fun to ride, hope you have lots of fun. I second the recommendation of a 90s steel frame. I found a Columbus SLX Marinoni with dura ace group for $300 and I've done better.

You can get some very lightweight, very fast bikes for a steal if you know what you're shopping for.

K here's the thing.

For the amount these are going for I don't feel comfortable shipping overseas unless it's EMS, insured and I write the true value on customs form in case anything happens. We can go half on the fees.

Ouch, then I'm sorry but I'll take my bid back, as it means customs for sure, with quite an amount probably :( (Last time I had $40 for $95 declared, so I guess it would be approximately $100 this time)
But I get your point ;)

Good for you demik. I lost 80lbs when I was in 1st year. I remember what did it too. I was getting measured for a suit and the guy told me I would need a 'portly' sized suit [its a nice way to say 'fat suit']. I was PISSED. I bought a treadmill and I would run while watching hockey [Canadian alert!]. Best of luck with it. Sorry for thread crapping all over you. Just wanted to tell my fat kid story.
