Worth a shot, though the odds are slim to none.

WTB my first (and only) Cherry MX CC. Willing to pay retail plus shipping. There are some folks that have TONS of them, and I see the auctions climbing as high as $200, and there's no way I can pay that. I'd like to purchase one for retail just to have one.

Those are probably the best prices that you will get, if people are feeling generous with their Clacks then they tend to auction them for the site.

I  tried to get my first clack like this a while ago and have still never had a clack. They mostly exist for the cool kids and for resale. The only way they will be reasonably priced is if people stop paying big money for them.

There are only a few people that have TONS of them. Most do not have any. And the people that have tons are the hoarders, so it'll actually be harder for them to let go of their CC's (unless it's for the right price of course).

Good luck finding your CC's.

The big thing that gets my panties in a twist is the invite only methods of buying CCs like the 4grabs sales. At least from the limited information I've been able to figure out is it seems invite only.

4grabs sale was never a invite only sale, there was the people that got into the sale, due to the amount of people that did NOT get into it on time CC made sure to share the love and gave them a invite to a sale after.

Besides 4grabs it's also on sale on EK but like most sales it ends quickly.

This past one was the only invite only because of the website hickup from the previous one, so CC sent invites to people who couldn't make the cut due to the website being down but sent PM's which he received when it was already over. The invite only is not something that happens on a reoccurring basis...PANTIES UNTWISTED

Sure I guess. I would still love to get at least one CC some day at normal price. For some reason I didn't even get an email last time they went on sale at elitekeyboards.

Not gonna lie its all about having patience..it took me about 6-8 months AFTER joining geekhack before I was able to purchase one at cost....these don't come easy, all about your timing, sorry if this sounds cold but after the countless hours I've spent hunting mine down I feel no sorrow for those who just joined the hunt. 1-2 months of waiting is childs' play. Collections don't sprout overnight, everyone who has numerous CC's have been in the hunt a lot longer and were already fans of CC BEFORE all the hype, call them hipsters if you want, but you can't be mad at people who are rich from google when they invested in the company from the beginning.

IDK about that, find CC and finding CC on the cheap are two different things. I've got 4 CC so far, 2 bought and 2 traded for in the past 3 months or so. The two traded for where paid for with sweat and work on my part (making wrist rest) and other two were paid for at "market value".


IMO, I'm kinda over CC, they are cool but not "market value" cool. I would however take more if I were to trade for them like I did for my first two.

Yea, i'm not asking for sympathy or sorrow or anything. Just figured if there was anyone out there that duplicates of a color and wanted to sell it off for cost plus shipping, I'd take it. It's not that I need one. Wants are not needs what so ever. My life will continue on if I don't get one. All I know is if you don't ask the question, you can never receive the answer you want.

That being said: WTB is still open! lol :P
