Not sure if I should post this in the group buy section or here. I haven't got them yet, these are still in China, but I should be able to receive them in 1-2 weeks.
Anyway, the guys named "Chaos" (He thinks the name 'Village Head' was too silly) was actually the first to make those custom R4 keycaps in China. Back to 2-3 years ago, there were only few choices of MX keycaps in China:
1) Village Head's custom R4 keycaps.
2) KBC's PBT colored 37-keyset.
3) Some expensive and high-quality metal keycaps from Korea.
Out of topic... So Chaos has been using the keycaps from Cherry Corp. to make these custom keycaps. He's not satisfied with the quality of KBC's keycaps. The Cherry's keycaps cost more but he just like them because of the quality.
These custom keycaps were made of Cherry's keycaps. Like the ones on Cherry G80-3000. FYI, Cherry's profile is pretty much like SP's profile.
They got dyed first, and then laser etched. There might be some scratches on the sides buecause these keycaps were originally from Germany, and then went to Chinese distributor, and then those resellers. Finally came to Village Head's hands.
