Awesome build! The case is really over the top though, considering that you're just on air cooling.

Good luck with the sale!

What are you possibly upgrading to? Sandy to Ivy is just about pointless sidegrade. If I were you I would just keep it, maybe get a bigger ssd and upgrade to 600 series gpu if you feel it, and wait for Haswell.
Otherwise GLWS.

I've got two ZR2740Ws I'd put up for the entire rig ;) 2560x1440 is a must if you're looking to step to the next level of computing. Going from 1080p to 1440p is like the first time you go from rubber dome to mech, don't know what you're missing till that moment haha

I prefer not losing screen real estate, and gaming at 2560x1600. Save movie formats for movies.

Good luck with the sale!

Definitely, i was initially planning on putting a watercooling loop in but I got to 4.4Ghz with a really good temp and that was enough for me.

The links I posted add to $1886 (in order: 275+300+220+547+64+64+73+103+150+90)
That is not my asking price, i just thought it would be easier for people looking instead of needing to do the math.
I am looking for offers.

Thanks.

On a high dollar item like this you should take into consideration how used everything is and post a starting price that you may have a little flexibility with. I know it is nice to get more money for things than you probably should, but there are other forums and web sites for that in my opinion(hardforums, craigslist, ebay, etc.)

no probs fair enough im just used to people setting reserve/instant prices for stuff figured that was your reserve price. all good. i've sold a few high end systems like this and its usually a ***** to sell all in one, you might have better luck parting it out (usually will get more as well)

Doesn't make half an ass worth of difference without an IPS monitor imo. Color accuracy and contrast over resolution!l
I hate to say here, but I agree with lysol: this is still an awesome rig and if anything could use updating, it's probably your peripherals. What monitor do you use, for instance?

godam reminds me that I need to replace my graphics. I bought my gtx 470 on release before I found out it runs so hot. It locks up sometimes and it seems like I have to mount an aftermarket on it or replace it.

Why do you feel compelled to upgrade, and what would you upgrade to? I have a 2600k overclocked to 4.6 GHz and could probably hit 5 GHz on my corsair H100 water cooler. Drop in a larger SSD if you want more games on SSD, and upgrade your video card to a $300-450 nvida or ati card and you would be set with your current rig. Your motherboard should be able to keep up with any current upgrades and overclock without issue. Ivy bridge Intel chips are barely better than Sandy bridge (maybe 5% better), and AMD certainly isn't competing in the high end CPU market at present. Supposedly a 4.7 GHz Sandy bridge performs the same as a 4.6 GHz Ivy bridge so *shrug*

Undervolt it to prevent that but sacrifice some performance? Also just a thought that it also may be that your drivers aren't updated.

About how old is this machine, anyways?

You'll have better luck parting it out tthan complete sale IMO. Only Craigslist and eBay do full systems usually sell. Online forums all just want specific parts. And I agree with others here, what exactly are you upgrading to? Sandy bridge e? I had the chance to go to a 3930k from my 2700k for 0 cost. I did the research and found really no gaming improvement to moving my rig to sandy bridge e

Like you guys said, i dont HAVE to upgrade. if nobody will want to buy the system as a whole i will just wait and sell the parts when i upgrade next year when Haswell is released.
Its working perfectly and i have no complaints, just got bored and thought i might get something else, thats all.

Pointless to "upgrade", because all your parts are perfectly fine. Selling this complete rig to build another won't be any better. If you really do want to upgrade, only thing would really be the CPU and video card. An Ivy Bridge processor will still work fine with your current Z68 motherboard, and any video card would be fine also. However, IB processor is not worth the upgrade. They tend to have overclocking walls sooner than sandybridge, and has higher temps unless you do THIS mod. That gtx580 is no slouch, there are a few series that will perform better, but will costs much more for only a small upgrade.

So if you break it down part by part, you can see that nothing really needs the upgrade. You might want to move to a 128gb though, but those are cheap. You can find one in the $80 range and sell your current one for $40-$50.

tbh, you're not gonna get anywhere close to 1800 if you sell it online here or on H/OCN/etc.

If you got the itch to upgrade, you can upgrade your GPU to a kepler GTX 680 or GTX 670
anything lower than that is a sidegrade/downgrade imo.
Or go AMD 7970.

Or can always get another GTX 580 and SLI.

Like others said, SSDs have really dropped in price, no reason for you to still be on a 64gb
i recently went from a 128gb M4 to a 256gb M4.
To improve your experience in gaming, like others said maybe time to invest in a new monitor if you're still on 1080p resolution

i went from a 24" dell ultrasharp at 1920 X 1200 to a 27" dell ultrasharp at 2560 x 1440
yeah i lose out on the 16:10, but it looks so crisp and clean, and its still a good amount of space to work with
I'd prob get another 27" monitor sometime soon, or go 3 for nvidia surround.
