I couldn't actually do the following test, but it would be interesting to set them BOTH* on fire, then extinguish them both, and see which ONE still worked.

Anyway, I just said that because he probably has a backlit membrane keyboard nowadays and think he's cool for burning an old keyboard like the Model M... Not like I'm sure he has a Lycosa or anything... Maybe he could also have one of those "cool" keyboards with LCD screens which cost more than a FILCO does...

Damn, talk about retribution. Trouble with smashing him on concrete blood splatter everywhere...... safest so that the authorities will never know or get evidence pointing to you, wrap in plastic tightly and bash him with a large axe handle all the way up and down his body.

That way it's much easier to dump the body out to sea already mangled and minced.

This kid looks like he's had a hard time. Though I don't support or like his personality, he is only acting like this because his life at home or at school isn't so great. I suspect this kid gets bullied either at school or at home. Even though the kid irritates me, I do feel sorry for him, he has not been taught right and is acting out because of it.

He did burn a vintage NeXT "cube" computer and bragged about it here on Geekhack. They are serious collectors items too, although not as usable today as a Model M keyboard. Last week in Sweden, someone got $150 for theirs on an auction site. Regular Model M, not SSK, Industrial or anything, not even an old model with square logo.

Yep, as the dwindling supplies of decent conditioned Model-M's become the norm now, the prices are slowly escalating. No matter what condition Model-M you have in your possession just hanging on to it for another few years, increases it's value more than any other Keyboard.

I would like to see what your classic Yum-cha keyboard would get in 10 years time.......
