It was easier to run GB's using VBB since I already had scripts set up for that, other than that SMF FTW!!

It was a bit of a relief to go cold-turkey from this place for a couple of weeks last summer, but the loss of the wikis was a tragedy of monumental proportions.

I have kicked myself a thousand times for not having studied them more carefully, and not downloading stuff that I knew was important!

And, if I was a diehard Cherry switch fan, there was a world of priceless information for me that evaporated overnight.

As it is, identifying vintage keyboards and oddball switch types is infinitely harder and more frustrating now.

For all his schizophrenic foibles, Ripster personally raised my keyboard knowledge by orders of magnitude with his plethora of broad and insightful wikis.

Thanks again, Ripster!

You don't want r00tw0rms - they delete all your wikis :(

That would be completely unhinged - those wikis were his claim to fame!

Wow, I had no idea that you could use the old theme.

However, after switching back for a few minutes, I do think that the new default theme is easier on the eyes.

Thanks for giving us the choice, and maybe I am not hopelessly old after all.

Cheers, Harry

Just read through some of the results... looks like Ripster has been having fun at our expense.
tp thread is tp thread
Sometimes it's like he accidentally makes a thread instead of a google search.

This is a funny thread. Someone should make a timeline of all the events that prevented keyboard ogling. Remember when the server crashed during the CC sale and everyone freaked out? that was funny too.

Lol. I had just joined GH a few weeks before the sale. Had NO IDEA what I was in for!
My buddy wanted to play SCll. But I refused to play and spent two hours refreshing. He had no idea what I was doing...."dude, just buy your stuff and come on".

Thanks again, Ripster!

there is quite a lot of information on dtwiki. maybe not as much conjecture/pseudoscience though.
