I have an extra 100 brand new PCB-mount cherry clear switches that I don't want or need (my current stance is that clears are like browns but somehow worse :( sorry dante!).

The first person to donate 50$ and PM me a valid confirmation code gets them! I will pay for shipping anywhere in the world.

Please post in this thread when you PM me your confirmation code so that no one is disappointed :)

Can this include my $50 donation towards the SSK auction?  ;)

I am actually interested in those Clear switches... might have to donate twice just to get them!

EDIT: Donated!  Did I get the switches?  ;D

Quick question about MX Clears: what force are the springs in Clears?  Are they the same as Browns/Blues/Reds, or are they heavier?  Also, if I were to put Black springs into Clear switches, would they then be Ergo-Clears?  Or would I need different springs to make Ergo-Clears?

Thanks.

Clears are pretty unique, at activation it's ~65gf (ed: fixed), and bottom it rises up to 100+gf  which is heavier than all the common MX switches.

Ergo clears is red/blue/brown springs and clear stem

Also, dante... I've done quite a few ~87 key boards and had to reject no less than 3 switches and as many as 8.  Broken PCB pins, leads mangled badly enough in transit that it broke off, housing doesn't stay shut, leaf spring mangled during re-assembly (not by me :P )...

Spares are GOOD.

Sorry bav, wrong... I've measured it myself and it's not been refuted on Desko.. nor was it when the data was on the GH wiki.  I did F it up a little... 65gf activation, ~100gf at bottom.

I love my ergo clear poker and am looking for a TKL to do another

Don't forget to sticker and lube, you might as well since you'll have the switch open anyways ^___^

Now I just need to find a board worthy of switch swapping... preferably a PCB mount TKL board.  Any suggestions?

No, clear springs are heavier than black and green springs, but lighter than grey springs.

Almost every TKL board has a plate, except for one. Forgot which one it is.
