Key cap layout sheet
« on: Tue, 23 October 2012, 16:00:05 »
I've tried 8+ searches and I can not find this anywhere. I know there was a good one linked before to be printed on 11x17 paper I think, which is fine by me. I also checked the wiki. Maybe my search-fu is weak here, but a sticky on the key caps section would also make a lot of sense.

I think some folks may have the files on there comp to send. Maybe someone will hook you up.

Also there is a picture of one in the GH Donation Pack thread. Not sure on the size of it though.

Forgot what it was called and where it would be...took awhile to find.

Has the tsangan kit which is nice.

I suppose you could stretch it to fit a 11x17 piece of paper.

I set my magic printer to legal size and it printed perfectly. Tested it out with a 1.5x and a 6.25x key, and both were perfect.

Is there such a version of this as will fit on to A4 paper?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

That one is also US paper (which is rare here in Australia).

Perhaps it's me, but I prefer one with the keys laid out as on the keyboard.  I find it easier to tell at a glance which ones are there and which are missing.

But a sheet of A4 is barely big enough to fit the main keys on - ther is barely room underneath for the ins/home/etc. and arrow keys, and a num pad, never mind Tasngen kits etc.

this post has the 11x17 sized keycap paper http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=33475.msg642036#msg642036
that is also the one which is going to be included in the upcoming GH Pack sale

a smaller 8.5x11 sized one is higher up in that thread. There is not an A4 sized one as it doesn't fit in this sort of style and kawa wanted 11x17 sized.
