Lol this is a ridiculous amount. It shouldn't be gushing out like that. Squirt some grease out a very small container, and use a toothpick or fine brush to apply the grease. The needles that are included with the syringe are waaay too thick so you don't get a good control on the amount that comes out.

Sorry this may be a little off topic but... I understand KMAC is probably the best Cherry MX board out there right now, however for some people (like me) buying a DIY board like this is almost like gambling. Sure I love mechanical keyboard, however I have practically no experience with assembling/modding any keyboards. So what I'm trying to say is that for the certain people who want top notch quality - could potentially botch the keyboard job and lose their money. Does that make sense or am I just crazy?

It makes sense, and if the concern for that is too great for you to risk, there are certainly people out there who will help you put it together. It may cost more, but that's the price you pay.

Just wondering, does the nonslip roll help it feel any different?

I have not tried it without it but i know when i added it to other keyboards it felt like it tightened stuff up and it lowered the noise while typing.

My Cheat felt way to unstable so I padded the bottom.  I used a piece of a ShamWOW towel (just a big chunk of felt, really) with nonslip on both sides.  It REALLY changed the feel of the board.  It provided some support behind the PCB to absorb some flex, and it quieted down.  It provides a bit of shock absorption, which accounts for the reduction in noise.  It also helped keep the plate from moving around inside the assembly (the cheat doesn't have screw mounts for the plate)

Yea I've been waiting for some from him in the mail, but I fear they may have gotten lost. Oh well, I'll just compare with another board and give it a try.

Phantom is a GeekHack project. The KMAC is a Korean KBDMania project. They are very different in that the Phantom was the first to introduce a "modder plate" but it was designed to fit into a Filco Case. The KMAC had a full case included which bolted the plate to the case among other things. It's very very different.

Aside from which there are 2 completely different firmwares available for the Phantom and enough information available to write your own or adapt yet another one that is available to it.  :)
Filco w/ Imsto thick PBT
Ducky 1087XM PCB+Plate, w/ Matias "Quiet Click" spring-swapped w/ XM Greens
