I can only get to 7 now, not even close to the next highest of 12.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Journal entry 00121: Ok I've been at this for an hour or so. I am able to break the 8 cap wall with the tilt technique and am able to get to 12 reliably but this is eating away at my sanity. It is 3am and I am sweating, hands shaking with rage and anticipation as I stack each one knowing the inevitable is coming. I got to 17, I really did but alas it was not meant to be. Think Jenga noisy think Jenga dammit! Had to put the cat out, she's a liability, woke my roommate screaming at pieces of plastic. One more try, just one more and I'm sure I will break the formula....

Haha! Gave me quite a laugh reading this!

Come on guys! Don't be shy! TWO more days till the contest ends! If there's no more entries the raffle is pretty much going to be a coin flip on who gets a free keycap lol.

And Halverson... made me spit out my coffee when I first saw your picture.

I think you uncovered the trick though. Model M caps without the inserts, flip every-other one 180 degree's and they will stack like lego blocks

I believe there are slight height differences due to some being OEM height and some being SP height. If that's the case I'm sorry your submission does not qualify~ :[

I'm hanging out for the new designs before I order a few to get my free one, otherwise the shipping cost would be silly just for one keycap.

But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yea, I figured it'd be cruel to just get my free caps and run, so I grabbed all the ones I didn't have :)

I'd highly recommend these skull caps, pics cannot do them justice, these things look amazing in person.
