made an offer, seller declined and said he'd accept at 65 (with 15 shipping), not sure if that's a great deal with shipping on NIB doubleshots, but there you have it

i'm not going to say for sure what switches they have since i recently purchased a board with R that ended up having browns, but there you go.

good call on the enter key, that picture on the auction sucks.

8000 series is always brown or clear. These likely have browns. It's an ok price for a set of NIB doubleshots even with ISO enter in my opinion. I also think the 8200 is a much nicer board than the 8113 if you want something which you might also actually use. They also have the numbers only numpad which I like for those that happen to have 104/105 or seperate numpad.

Bigass enter without a short right shift. That's odd

It's quite common on Cherry POS boards, much more so than ANSI. Why they thought this was a good layout is beyond me.

Well a POS keyboard is meant for POS computers, not really for typing.

These have BROWNS people... Every other month it seems elpmex's 8200/8113 boards show up again on either GH or DT... Do a search before you make a post you guys. And where the hell did blacks come from?

EDIT: If people want those numpads I have a LOT of them for sale. They're awesome.

P is generally for blacks on any other model with a 5 letter code. When it comes to the POS line though, Cherry dosen't seem to follow thier partcode scheme much. There are lots of abberations in Cherry model codes though, they can be pretty inconsistant.

Is that full touch caps lock center stemmed? Seems like these could be ok buys for those searching for white on black moogle kits.

Yes, center stem fulltouch caps lock, and 1.25 mods. Pretty much the biggest reasons to buy 8000 series models. You get full Cherry for your modern board. No need to resort to SP knock offs. Too bad the -0 models are impossible to find, you would get the same in beige.

Hey lysol, any hunting advice if I'm looking for white/beige set?

So is that $65 shipped or $80 shipped? To me your wording is ambiguous.

yeah, i noticed it was probably ambiguous when i typed it, but just kind of left it that way anyway.  he said he would sell it for 65 so i'm assuming 65 and then an additional 15 shipping, for a total of 80, but if i were seriously trying to buy one i'd offer 50 first just in case

Acetrak not really. I saw one once on German ebay but I was too late for it. I know they exist but that is about all. I've never seen a beige doubleshots 8000 for sale in US ebay or taobao. 3000H****-0 come up now and then. If you have $250ish to spend you might have a chance.

Ah that's a shame. Personally I prefer the white/beige doubleshots over the white on black sets. Lysol, your knowledge is slowing making me into a Cherry fiend...not sure if it's a good thing haha

I'm in the same boat, preferring white/beige.  I especially love those Coffee/Almond set's.  Closest I can get right now is my WYSE set, which I'm pretty pleased with.

Then again, I've never actually run white on black...

could do a white-on-black with some almonds or the hellgrau PBTs you can find on some typewriters, i posted this in another thread but here it is again since it's a decent alternative to a full black set
