Hello,
I'm new here, but been reading a lot as a guest to get myself into mechanical keyboards a little better. I'm in a search for mechanical keyboard that will be used mainly for programming, stepping through the code and similar tasks.
I don't know exactly what model and switches should I get because I didn't have a chance to try MX switches before. I got one Cherry G81-8000 from a local ebay site but I found out that it's using lousy MY switches so I'm looking for a real thing now.
I would prefer a full size keys (Enter, ctrl, shift) and would like it to be a tenkeyless if it's possible. It should have regularly positioned arrow keys and home/end block. I can't buy mechanical keyboards in my country with localized key caps (instead of some steelseries perhaps) so I'll be ordering it online. If it's possible, I have some cherry key caps (compatible with mx switches) so I'd like to replace some of the original once that come with keyboard because my keyboard layout is not US.
Here is the layout that I like, but when i tried to get me one of Filco's tenkeyless models they all happened to be with small size enter caps.
http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_images/filco_tenkeyless_brown_uk_small.jpgI also like the older Cherry G80 models but for the price of them I believe it's better to get me a Filco or something similar.
TIA for your suggestions,
Djud.
