Where does one buy MX Clears, (switches only)?
« on: Tue, 25 December 2012, 01:53:18 »
I want to buy some MX Clears, and the springs to make either (Panda clears) or (Ergo clears).  I tried searching briefly, but my search didn't yield any results.

On a side note, does anyone have experience with either of these?  Are they hard to make?  I like the Browns, probably my favorite switch right now, but I would like just a little bit more of a bump.

Thanks

1) you buy a pcb-mounted board with clears. like cherry g80-3000 lq***
2) you swap the springs in it with your brown/blue/red springs OR
2) you buy another pcb-mounted board with brown/blue/red switches, take the stems from your mx clear board and put them in instead of brown/blue/red stems.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

You could also make a WTB thread looking for clears, or just the stems.

Buy switches from 7bit
Thinking about things isn't the same as doing things. Otherwise everybody would be in jail.

They feel like heavy blues, without the click.  They don't feel like browns.
