So why not make your own original designs? You obviously have the ability to make pretty nice quality keys, why not come up with something unique? There's tons of stuff that would look cool as **** on key caps besides robots and skulls.

So why not make your own original designs? You obviously have the ability to make pretty nice quality keys, why not come up with something unique? There's tons of stuff that would look cool as **** on key caps besides robots and skulls.

Ok so, he is signed up with Paypal on his blog. So CC needs to report him to PayPal for selling copyrighted counterfeits. CC can also do the same with his Facebook page.

I'm not sure what else can be done, but given how much information has been found about this thief it shouldn't be too hard to shut him down.

Last post I'm making on this topic, then, as I said, move it to the fake discussion thread. The people that want them are going to find the store either way. Better I shed a negative light than have someone go "HURR DURR LOOK AT HOW CHEAP THESE CLACKS ARE! EVERRONE BUY NAO!" and then have the people who think they're getting a legitimate product be ****ed out of their money. The people who are buying the fakes would do it regardless. It feels like a lot of other fakes, problems, and scams (especially with GBs) have come out of China recently unfortunately.    It feels like most of the issues I see arise in one of those two places this last year.  There are exceptions like DrugER (Korea), pacifist (US), the profosist (US), WhiteFireDragon (forget where), but most of the more recent are in those areas.

Can't talk about counterfeit operations without mentioning China! I mean, honestly now. Racism aside, China has always shown a willingness to look the other way where IP enforcement is concerned, particularly if it is of benefit to them as a society. It makes that region fertile ground for operating this kind of knockoff business. I know in this case it's a Vietnamese person ripping off one of the artisans but that part of the world doesn't put a whole lot of stock in things like protecting IP and Copyright unless they're strong-armed by another government usually in the form of requirements for bilateral free-trade agreements.

Criticizing the practices of other countries' governments is one thing, but it's really not fair to make blanket statements about our own fellow GH members.

Personally, one of my best Classifieds experiences was with one of our Vietnamese GHers.  I had a Miami keyset package that USPS had totally screwed up tracking for, and this person really went out of his way to respond to me and help inquire about the package's status.  Plus, he was genuinely happy when USPS did finally deliver the keyset and even asked me to share pictures of the keyset on my board.

Alternately, my most negative Classifieds experiences have involved well known, GH forum regulars who reside in the US. 

It really depends on the person and not where they come from.
