Income tax refund
« on: Mon, 04 February 2013, 18:36:22 »
Anyone planning on some nice purchases with their refund? I'm looking at a WASD V1 and a keycool 84 (white).

Hopefully I'm getting a refund (I'm not sure  yet and I haven't filed.)

If I do, I'll be buying plastic in the form of a Steelcase Leap ^_^

Buy whatever you want with your refund, just, please... don't act like it's free money from the government.
It's not. It's your money that they are returning to you, after you provided them with an interest-free loan.  :D

So please, no spontaneous break-dancing.

Ain't that the truth. Yet if you don't pay them, they charge interest and penalties. They should be paying us interest for the amount we overpay.

It's fine to be excited, don't get me wrong -- but people act like they won the lottery -- you didn't. It's more like finding money is an old coat. LOL!

Should change your W-4. I always put Single and 0, and always get something returned.

i do put Single and 0, its the way my company's accountant withholds taxes for us.
i swear she's doing something screwy, but i've always had to pay taxes owed every year.

Something does sound screwy there... Have you considered lodging a complaint/asking someone?

If you owe without penalty it's the same thing as getting your refund but you don't get some lame lump some later when they figure out you gave them too much.

I
Bengal kitten and a Glock.

Both excellent for home protection. Actually, my daughter had a Bengal Cat and it loved to fetch things. You'd think it had Retriever in it.

I'm self employed so any refund I get will likely go toward paying my first quarter's estimated taxes

Even if I claim the GF as common wife to lower my income and other things, I barely break even with taxes.
Oh well, GG government you can has your 40% cut!
