If she lives, I'll bring my SSK mk II /R
And we got confirmation of eDox shipping next week. My assembler said they will be ready in time for the meet. Therefore I should be able to bring them as well!

IF I am able to come, and IF I am able to do 2 bolt mods in time, I could bring 2 brand spanking new Model M's. A 1390120 (just arrived today) and 1390131 (hasn't arrived yet). Yes they are brand new, but they have broken rivets. SDL to USB cables from orihalcon are awesome by the way.

Ed, do you find your Ms locally? Or are you sourcing them from online peeps?

I have a lot of keyboard sources, but I find a lot of them through ebay. I then do business outside of ebay.

BTW - He may send me a list with pics to post on these forums. He says he has a bunch of used M's.

So anybody at this meetup want to assemble my Ergodox for me? Not at the meetup, because we'll be in a public location, but take it home with you and put it together. I'll offer some payment for your services and cover shipping costs back to me.

It looks like I probably won't be going after all. They just cancelled bus service in my city as in they totally closed down the bus station and I don't trust my car enough to drive it that far.

Just finished my Dolch PAC 65 keyboard USB conversion mod

, typing on it right now. I used the PS2/USB adapter from this buy:

I had to rip both the keyboard case and the adapter apart, strip a few wires, solder a few things together, etc., but it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and the all the keys appear to be working - or at the very least I haven't found anything that doesn't work yet (scoll-lock, caps-locks, num-lock, crtl+alt+del - only bummer is that it seems like the adapter is just 2 key rollover). Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

It has two onboard ATMega32u4's so Hasu's firmware etc could be easily adapted. He only has two unpopulated boards left so don't buy him out!

not all....the 186x's with diodes are either 6KRO or NKRO I cannot remember which

Right only the 186X have 6KRO on usb or NKRO over ps/2, all other 1800 variants I know of are only 2KRO. Even with a controller mod, you would still have to add diode in every switch to make it working over 2KRO.
