Looking for Gaming Keyboard
« on: Wed, 27 February 2013, 18:43:49 »
Hey folks,

I've spent the last days looking for gaming keyboards, and was kinda successful, though almost each keyboard I found fitting had a US-Layout, e.g. Ducky and Leopold.
Those who didn't have a US-Layout weren't availabe [No delivery dates/Not in stock] like the Steelseries 6gv2 [New Version with MX Reds] or the CM Storm Rapid Red [Alternate delivery date: 06.05.2013] or were quite expensive [Das Keyboard].
Long story short, living in Germany makes the keyboard search somewhat frustrating. That's why I'm turning towards you now, perhaps someone knows the droids keyboard I am looking for.

Preferably:
- German Layout
- MX Reds/Browns [Reds > Browns]
- PS2 or USB KRO 6+
- Not too pricey [Max. 120€ or less]
- Plate Mounting
Less important:
- Laser etched Keys
- Tenkeyless
- No shiny case [Fingerprints etc]
    Thx for reading/replying!

If you are OK with going used, Deskthority also has a classified section which has more Euro users posting used ads.

Most boards coming out of Asia are ANSI, so a QWERTZ ISO board out of the box is more difficult to find. Also, what form factor interests you most?

Yes it is harder to find maybe, but I suggest you change your thread title to "Looking for DE/ISO Gaming Keyboard" or similar to attract DE/EU people that are more likely to help point you towards relevant shops. If DE can be cut from options if you are having trouble finding stock, maybe expand your search to include other ISO layouts like Nordic, GB or FR?

http://www.keyboardco.com/ has some German layout Filco keyboards. Not sure how much shipping would end up being for you, but they range from £95-105 and they have them in both MX Reds and Browns.
Ducky DK9008S2 Blue LED | Ducky DK2108S OMG | Ducky DK9008S2 White LED | Ducky YOTD | CM QuickFire TK LE | Filco MJ2 TKL custom | Trik Alu Skin Custom

Mechanical keyboards are primarily vessels for novelty keycaps...
Please do NOT PM me regarding finding deals for specific products, I do not take personal requests!

Thanks for your replies! I finally found a shop that has QWERTZ-ISO Coolermaster Keyboards with MX Reds, and since Filco and CM are almost the same (many parts made by the same fabricator) but CM isn't as far as costly, I chose to buy one. I found the shop via heise.de (changed my searching terms a bit). Hopefully this is helpful for future requests, especially for german gamers!
Shoutout to csv-direct.de, the shop that finally ended my epic keyboard quest!
