Dolch PCB into a G81-1800 Case

I remember someone swapping the dolch internals into a regular 1800 case so it should be a simple job but I can't confirm it.

Yes they use the identical PCB. The only quirk is the lock lights are on another daughter board in Dolch and it's a bit fiddly to get aligned inside the standard 1800 case. I changed mine into 1800 case and hard solder ps/2 cable.

Yes - the Dolch is quite literally a G81-1800 with a daughterboard modification. As in, they took the G81-1800 as-is and put it in a new chassis, no controller changes at all. (I used to use a PAC62 on a near daily basis.) That's why it's a connector adapt rather than a logic adapt.

Yes, there's a screw under there

Oh, another thing... put that G81 plate to use as an underplate after remove all the MY switch. It's definitely a task worth doing as it make the keyboard feel much more substantial and less bouncy. Just don't forget to make sure it's totally insulated from the MX pcb.

I prefer to use the Dolch case. It is sturdier than a G8x-1800 case and it is flatter, which I like. In my opinion, the only thing that the G81-1800 case has for it is if you want the keyboard to be inclined.
Besides, the case has the same colour as the Dolch modifiers.

I remember there being two logos. I think the one on the bottom had a screw, but the one on the top didn't. I could be wrong, but it wouldn't hurt to start with just the bottom logo and see if that does it.
