My last 2 groupbuys had higher total sales than Klaxon if that is what is going on. PBT dyesubs buy was $21,100 and total for GMK buy $23,738 for only merchandise cost.

Keyboards - ALL: _________ (XX) I'd say this would have to be ClickClack or HaaTa, both have exuberant collections.
Keyboards - Korean Customs: _________ (XX) I'd say this is a toss up between Boost (from his list from his April Fool's prank), Tsangan, and Jcrouse. There are not many pictures from the members for whatever reason, but I believe that Tsangan posted his list somewhere.

How about most $'s spent on first purchase of a single key? My first single key was the Ti 3d skull from Bim Gao for $70.   Also with most giveaways i think that would go to BunnyLake.  I think most of the stuff he gives though is key codes for games via Steam but I think it should still apply

I didnt get to see Boosts collection, but I think he's sold off a few of them, hence might not be the most, but if he supplied me with a list, if he chooses to, of the boards he had at some point in time, id be happy to add it and quote a time reference.

Not to thread crap...too much... but how many keyboards do you have?

if you count keypads too then
-16 customs
-8-10 random Cherry G80 boards (G80-5000, 2100HDU, 3116SDU, 3000HASRO, 3700, 1800, etc)
-4 Topre
-4-6 Other boards boards (Filco, GHSS, SSK, M13 etc)
I'm sure someone saved Boost's list, but I forgot to. Oh well.

Biggest 60% is a title that would be cool to have
i love my 60%'s
i want more!

Most 60% ehh....4 pokers, a pure, HHKB, F660C (almost 60%), and incoming GH60.

4 pokers!

I have...1 poker, 1 pure, 2 incoming gh60s, [maybe] 1 poker II, hopefully a 2TU.

plans for more after that?
...yes

Good work on those 60's.

I only have a Pure and 356mini. Not sure I'm a fan of the Poker layout although its pretty much the same as the Pure (thats probably another reason why I'm not jumping on the Poker bandwagon just yet)
Haven't read too much about the 2TU's and not that keen on the KMAC Happy either, the sides/bezels are too thick for my liking.

Or some GH sleuths can hook me up with some PI info =P, jokes.
Yeah all the info in the OP are from members or past threads, which are open to all. I don't condone pestering individuals for content if they don't want to reveal it.

I guess its aimed at the newer members and giving them a gauge of what the higher echelon of this hobby could potentially cost, should they decide to pursue it, just more info as the Clacks thread and the List of KB's thread (I say higher as in most cases, the figures in the OP won't be the highest).

I'm not a fan of kits, mainly the shipping is pretty much the same as the cost for a completed board
As great as it is getting into solidering and etc, my work and other hobbies take up a large portion of my time (the only hobby that slightly compliments this is photography but I've slowed down on that too)
I can easily see myself picking up some soldering gear and playing around with switch swaps and lubing etc, all that time consuming stuff thats fun for the first time only. haha. i kid.

A lot of that OP is out of date now.

of course tsangan does not have the largest keyboard collection. webwit has a larger one, CC supposedly has a few hundred, HaaTa has photos of a few dozen or so keyboards. I'm told megnin has a lot as well, but I haven't seen any photos.

Heck, I probably have a good 20-30 or so, though I haven't counted recently, and just threw out some rubberdomes. (And I'm planning to pare my collection down)

So arguably, with respect to largest KB collection, the OP is out of date.
I feel like HaaTa certainly has to have at least SOME record here. Definitely the most unique keyboard collection.

I know! most different types of keyswitches, though counting them all will be difficult.
He has acquired some keyboards with switches I've never seen elsewhere. He seems to have more of the exotic magnetic (reed, hall effect, ferrite) capacitive, and optical keyboards and switches than anyone else I know of (save for maybe some museums)

I think HaaTa is going to be hard to beat in terms of different types of keyboard. He's got at least 80 different types of keyboard on his Google+ page already, with a load more that aren't covered yet, and I think he gave a figure of over a hundred the other day.

For switches — I've got 44 different types of switch, loose (108 switches total); that's not counting switch types I only have soldered into keyboards, or one that I desoldered that should be in a keyboard but isn't.) If we're counting people who are not geekhack members, my total number of switch types is sure to be less than MouseFan's collection of around 63 on his website. I haven't tried counting HaaTa's distinct switch types, and whether (including keyboards not yet published) he now beats MouseFan — he can't be far off, if not.

It's quite an achievement to have a collection to rival a Japanese keyboard collector!

Hmm, good point. I had initially rejected mousefan from my considerations, as they mainly have tons of variations on the different kinds of ALPS. But I suppose that's not really fair,a s slight variations by different manufacturers of reed switch is basically the same thing. Saying something like "switches from most number of different manufacturers" is almost impossible to claim, and too specific to be useful.

I had a chance to visit with him recently, and saw some of the keyboards he's received recently: There's a lot of interesting stuff!

I dont think we should include keyboards you don't own, like those you are mail-forwarding to others, or ones you are fulfilling for a GB.

I have probably at least 40 keyboards of various types, mostly rubber dome though.

I also have about 15 servers of different types and vintages, about 2/3 rack-mount and 1/3 desktop.  A couple of months ago I had about 8 more but threw them out.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Well, right now I have a poker, GH60 Rev A. I'll be getting a GH60 Rev B soon and have 5 more Gh60 PCBs on order from the GB. So that makes 8 60% boards.

I also have a model M but it has the F row, to I guess that's really a 65%

Most purchased for keyboard is probably $1,400 although it wasn't exactly documented nor shall I spill the names.

but as for public I think $780 for a black 456gt is the current record.

But worth noting that the current record )$600 456gt) also included a tricolor mx cc which I forgot what it was.. I think a Salute, quite debatably might still be worth more.

-

Zenuty has 89+ keyboards currently

Highest auction to date was by tsangan upwards of 5 grand although there were some nonpayments.
