Sharp PA-1000 with green alps

I just acquired a Sharp PA-1000 typewriter.  It seems to have green alps.

Are these (switches/keycaps) rare or worth much?

They're not common, but I don't think there's much demand either. Cool looking keycaps, nice find!

I think I passed up a similar, perhaps the same, typewriter at a thrift shop today.  I pressed down a few keys and thought "Nasty, Linears.."

Heh yeah, aren't green Alps like MX reds?

I like my blacks, reds seem too soft for me.

Actually ... The PA-1000 doesn't work (no batteries heh), but typing on it, maybe these could grow on me ...

I hate the weird secondary legends on pre-computing typewriters, they make the key set far less desirable.

Many linear switches on typewriters are of an inexpensive membrane type.
Heh, dark grey legends always look like they are lasered.

I occasionaly enjoy them as some of them have interesting or humerous labels.

Green is not so rare but very popular in Japan.
I think it will hit 40$US if you can carry it in Yahoo auction.
