[WTB] cheap mech for soldering practice
« on: Wed, 29 May 2013, 00:32:35 »
Please sell me your piece of **** mech board. It will need to work so i can test my skills. I do not care if the case is broken. I do not care if it looks like poopy.  This is for desoldering and soldering practice.

We can do cash or random trade ideas. I am open.

Thanks geekers. Keep it Wu-Tang.

yo dude, yopu can do that withjout worries even with 60 bucks board, FYI I'm beginner too and soldering is not the problem, its desoldering that can screw up things if you get stuck to a joint that u cant clean it and ur stuck for a long time u can burn the traces. So just take it esay when desoldering.

A VCR or other older electronics device will work as well. Try going to your local thrift shop and see what they have

Bah stealer of ideas. On that note, alarm clocks work well also and then you can remove the actual alarm function in some, as a prank.

i have already soldered up some alarm clocks and what have ya after reading some advice from this site. now i want to focus on keyboards for GH60 builds.

this sounds great. which brand of pads? are any of them under 20? i can find a few that are around 30.  but for this i would rather get a full size board for that price.

any find anything better than this?

I'd be interested in those lasered PBT caps! If they're in good to fair condition, that is.

ebay is actually the first place i looked. it seems to me that on ebay no mech board sells for less than 40. it is frustrating. that is why i came here. i know someone has a board without caps that they wouldnt mind selling to me for like 20.

and it goes without saying that i would pay for shipping.
