that... looks like a video game screenshot. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

fake!
(but more likely just some highlight/shadow recovery in photoshop)

Nope!  The only touching up was the blanking-out of the license plate, and that was done with MS paint.

It was just some weird/interesting lighting (and the reason I decided to run inside and grab the camera); the sun had JUST passed behind the 14k foot peak in the background but was still well above the horizon.

Your camera has some decent dynamic range then. Usually, either the clouds get blown out, or the tires disappear into the darkness of the fender well. But I guess it's not really a high contrast lighting situation since the sun is over the peak. What do you shoot with, if you don't mind me asking.

Nice. I figured it was one of the Sony sensor Nikons. I have a Pentax K-5, which shares the same sensor, so I'm familiar with the dynamic range it captures. A lot of photos can have an unreal HDR look directly out of jpegs, and even more so if you push the RAW files.

Only picture I've got of it so far. 2013 Kia Optima. Nothing fancy, but is cozy, doesn't look half bad, and has a kick ass warranty.

I heard kia warranty is one of the best at the moment

My dad owned two in a row, and was planning on getting another, but they ran out of business. He had a 2000 9-5 hatchback (I believe, don't remember too well) in midnight blue, and then he got a 2005 (maybe 2006, again I don't have the best memory :p) 9-5 aero. He loved the cars, it's a shame they're gone.

Yeah it's 10yr/100k bumper to bumper. Normally it's only power train but it only cost like $5 extra a month to upgrade it. And the peace of mind is totally worth it.

Haha i get this a lot. Well first I bought the car like that and I like the look of it so I kept it, but the reason why people do it is because people like the H sign more than the A and just to be different. I didn't convert my car to be like Japan, but rather Euro. In europe this car is considered Accord Euro.

I used to be the same too before I got into the car modding scene.

I'm guessing it's the Nikon D-Lighting doing it's thang, although you can easily get that result without the D-Lighting from just fiddling with the raw files.

Yeah, its not a good idea to buy brand new wheels. Buying used will be a lot better and you can sell it for the same price you got it (if you dont curb rash it).

Or even better, you can buy slightly curb rashed wheels, clean it up, and sell them for a profit once you're done with them! (if you don't overpay to begin with of course)

Yes a lot... The best way to avoid fakes is by looking in the back. If it says made in Japan then usually its real (not 100%).

Craigslist should have some. Maybe your forums or look on other Nissan forums.

i completely understand that.

but lets be serious.

a large chunk of people buying these aren't going anywhere near a track with them. they are buying them for looks and status.

for their price, TO ME, they are hideous. hell at any price that car, again to me, is ugly.

@tj, oh for sure.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

Definitely not his. :P (http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2010/11/lead2-2011-bugatt-super-sport.jpg) Besides, he's not even able to (legally) drive.

Ah, that explains things nicely.

probably in the minority here, but bugatti veyrons are hideous cars.
I wouldn't call them hideous... but the design has an actual purpose vital for the car.

Agreed, I've only heard of one person reach it's actual top speed.

On the topic of expensive = better, I'll leave this here.

Not a picture of my car specifically, but this is precisely what I drive...

2012 Shadow Blue VW GTI w/ Sun & Nav package & the DSG Transmission

Can't wait till my lease is over and I can hop into the MK7 GTI which will be bloody fantastic!

Correction: That's a pic of a 4-door, mine is a 2-door

Thanks! I was between the GTI & Kia Optima SX. The Optima SX was a really awesome car, and Kia & Hyundai have stepped up their game stratospherically in the past 5 years or so. The GTI won however in sheer fun factor, and that's precisely what I needed. My previous car was a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora, and despite loving my GTI to death, I really do miss having a big luxo-barge to drive around :\

I may lease into a Passat V6 instead of a GTI when my lease ends, so we'll see.

What kind of an STI...?

Bugattis are beautiful. Everything on them was shaped by hand. I think they are the prettiest cars in the world. The interior is gorgeous too. The design is not radical, but it is unique and is as aesthetic as can be while still being able to operate at 250+ MPH. If you drove a Civic or Smart at that speed, you could watch the side mirrors snap off and possibly even see the hood ripple. I think the Pagani Zonda is nicer looking, but it doesn't command the respect that the Bugatti does with its class.
