I think Tym said we had to charge $5 to keep the public out. Do you really think anybody from the "public" will want to wander into this group of mutants? I think the public will most likely stay away on their own. Which is good, actually, 'cuz do you really want to try to explain to some stranger that you traveled 2,000 miles to discuss computer keyboards, and to maybe trade some tiny 1/2 inch plastic skulls made by some guy in San Diego? Oh yeah, ima bringing mah clax! (well at least some.)

The public came when we had the last Chicago meet. There was a few people who came in to look at things. It was pretty funny

. And I think it's so cute that people are so shy about their hobby.

Really cool idea, too bad it's in Chicago. Perhaps next time make it in Nice or the Swiss Alps, it would be much more tempting to buy a plane ticket.

Damn, i would love to go to this if there was a lot of people, I've always wanted to check out Chicago and my wife would love it (visiting Chicago) . But it is too close to another vacation i am taking and i work Saturdays

If this happens every year then it's a real possibility that I might turn up to one of them. I have relatives in the states and every few years we visit in the summer.

O'Hare airport in Chicago gets plenty of direct international flights from London, if I'm not mistaken. You could sell a couple keyboards at the meetup to fund your trip. That should taken care of most of the costs.
