I will be bringing my entire collection, minus the unbuilt Epsilon. Hoping to have my SSK back by then as well.

I have been told - "I don't have any pictures but it's one room, there are plenty of tables and chairs, a decent AV setup, and space for probably 60 people if they're all sitting in an orderly fashion and maybe 40 if the tables are in use and everyone is milling about."

I could show off my shop via some pictures I have and try to answer any questions about woodworking if anyone has an interest in it (I doubt there is any interest). Otherwise I just plan on showing my boards and some of the projects I'm working on.

Anyone bringing a soldering station to teach CPT how to soldapullt?

I'm interested in that woodworking.  Seems like a useful skill.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

I've got a reservation at http://www.threeaceschicago.com

They have a wide selection of food and beers, and a nice atmosphere.  I think there will be something for everyone there and its walking distance from the venue

I will be driving there - is there convenient parking by the venue?  Should I expect to pay 5, 10, 20 dollars?

It's a university campus isn't it? Unless I misunderstand how UIC is laid out, can't you just park in a lot on campus?

At a lot of universities that I've ever been to, parking rules get suspended on the weekends. I'm not sure if that's the case but it seems like it would be.

Considering this is near downtown Chicago, I would assume you have to pay to park.  That's why I never drive to downtown Chicago. Could be street parking nearby.  When my family goes, we park at Millineum Park and take the EL train or walk to where we need to go.

Can someone estimate the cost of a 25 minute cab ride in Chicago?

Just wondering where are you taking the cab from?  There might be some public transportation options.  The El train is very easy to use and a stop is nearby.

Would anyone have an issue with me having 2 keyboards on a silent auction at KeyCon?  The proceeds would be either split between owners of equipment of the lost Switch/Caps test tour or donated to Geekhack.  Trust me the 2 boards will be in demand.
