I have been told - "I don't have any pictures but it's one room, there are plenty of tables and chairs, a decent AV setup, and space for probably 60 people if they're all sitting in an orderly fashion and maybe 40 if the tables are in use and everyone is milling about."

I've got a reservation at http://www.threeaceschicago.com

They have a wide selection of food and beers, and a nice atmosphere. I think there will be something for everyone there and its walking distance from the venue

30-35 bucks I would guess...more dependent on distance that time.

It's a university campus isn't it? Unless I misunderstand how UIC is laid out, can't you just park in a lot on campus?

at the campus my mom works at you need a school issued parking pass to use any of their lots. If not i think they can tow your car. But thats small town Iowa.

At a lot of universities that I've ever been to, parking rules get suspended on the weekends. I'm not sure if that's the case but it seems like it would be.

Considering this is near downtown Chicago, I would assume you have to pay to park. That's why I never drive to downtown Chicago. Could be street parking nearby. When my family goes, we park at Millineum Park and take the EL train or walk to where we need to go.

Just wondering where are you taking the cab from? There might be some public transportation options. The El train is very easy to use and a stop is nearby.
