The setup hoff and I will are going to rig up will be able to record video for upload later :)

How much space might a full KeyCon take up on harddrive?  I will bring an external just in case, but an estimate would be nice too.  :D

I would suggest only recording presentations...I'm not sure how everyone will feel about being recorded for the entire event.

Good call.  Maybe stream the presentations and a walk-through showing everyone's gear?

I second this. I'd love to see the presentations, but one of the main attractions for me to go to one of these events would be to see what everyone else has brought to the table(s) (Quite literally :)) )

Qsenn DT-35, greatest keyboard in existence, will be attending KeyCon. Ignore the 122 F.

you can get 4-5 hours of video on a hard drive for about... 2-3 gigs with the right config
60% keyboards, 100% of the time.

I have some studio equipment (umbrellas, light stands, radio triggered flashes, etc.) and was thinking about setting up a compact photo booth of sorts to efficiently document the many rare and unique boards at KeyCon.  Some sample photos w/ my LZ-GH: http://i.minus.com/iREcuEBvvZiH0.jpg, LEDs: http://i3.minus.com/i5wZ6ZjQz5oxd.jpg, a full resolution shot: http://i.minus.com/ikWQ9UbbX6kZa.jpg

Anyone interested?  Attendees would have to bring their boards to the booth to get photographed, but once the studio equipment is set up, it should go pretty quickly as the only limiting factor between shots will be the time it takes for the flashes to recycle (~2 seconds).

Lol.  A photography booth specifically for keyboards.  That would be amazing/ridiculous.
Wish I had some gif or quote for this space, but I got nothing

Everyone attending should say, "YES" to keyboard boudoir photos.

Dianoda provided some really awesome photographs to the SP Color Chip Project -- so take his offer.

Some rose petals dribbled around the edges of the photos couldn't hurt either.

All you peoples have super fancy gear.  I've got a DSLR wannabe, but I've got a macro lens too, so I can take decent shots.  So that's another option for people.  Too many cameras.  :))

For those of you that are going to be in Chicago tomorrow night Black Sabbath is playing.  This is the last tour date not on the west coast for this tour and could be the last tour for them as reported by the DJ on my local rock station.

Lunch Update
Sponsorship for the luncheon has fallen though.  :-[ So we're going to have to fall back to plan B, which is to pay our own way.

The average cost-per-person is $10, which includes world-famous pizza and soft drinks. If you're planning on enjoying lunch at the conference, please send $10 as a gift via PayPal to me@mashby.com. I'll then use this money to order our pizzas tomorrow so that they arrive on time on Saturday and purchase the soft drinks as well.

According to the results thus far, we have 21 responses. Here's the numbers:
   - 27 are attending the Conference
   - 23 are attending the After Party
   - Pizza Order (one pizza feeds 4 people)
      - (2) Cheese @ $22
      - (2) Pepperoni @ $25? (cheese +1 not priced online)
      - (4) Chicago Classic @ $29.50
      ------------------------------------
      $212 + tax and tip

Since I'll be covering the up-front cost, the sooner everyone can pay the better.  ;D

Thanks in advance!

Hey, I was on vacation and didn't see this pizza lunch option.  I just sent you $10, so I hope it's not too late.

There is something seriously wrong with me.  I think the DT35 is the #1 board I'm most excited about seeing.

5 people have already paid. Thanks guys! I'm updating my list at this link as I tally the payments.

Need A Volunteer -- ICE
There might be some at the venue, but just to be safe, would someone mind picking up a couple of bags? You'll probably need a small cooler to keep them in as well. I'll be brining in the soda (Coke, Diet Coke and Sprite), but without ice, it just wouldn't be a party amirite?  :))

Thank you Melvang!
