Vintage Apple Ergonomic Adjustable Keyboard ($20 eBay)
« on: Mon, 01 July 2013, 09:05:22 »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Apple-M1242-ADB-Ergonomic-Adjustable-Keyboard-extras-VERY-GOOD-/261238330951

I'd buy it myself, but I'd feel bad knowing that it would just sit in the closet and not get any use. I'm sure someone here can put it to good use. :)

Somebody should jump on this. I would buy it just to flip it for a profit, but an Apple fan should have it.
From the US Constitution, Article 1, Section 8 :

The   Congress   shall have Power
To declare War,  grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;
To provide for calling forth the Militia  to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

I'd love to have this with my Hackintosh, but what would it take to get it running and is it rubber dome?

You need an adb to usb converter, which can be had for ~$20. The board is alps, unsure what kind.

These are rubber domes IIRC

Nope! They are low-profile Alps switches. They feel light and have a large tactile bump.

That's a rubber dome, I just ripped one apart I found at an ecycler. The slider just looks similar to an Alps style one.
Let me see if I have pics left of the tear down.

Wow, please post pictures! However it has Alps labeled on the switch. Very confusing

Maybe mine was a different version? That's odd. I remember being really bummed when I took it apart that it wasn't mechanical.

A variant of the Apple Adjustable Keyboard being rubber dome? Really?
Are you sure that you are not confusing it with some other keyboard?

The AppleDesign Keyboards that succeeded the AEKII are rubber dome. One variant even has Alps-mounted keycaps.

Earlier models of the split and tented (but not adjustable) DataDesk SmartBoard had Alps switches but later models had Alps-compatible sliders on rubber domes. There were both PC/Windows and Mac versions of the SmartBoard. It was not a Mac version with rubber domes that you found?
