"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Then I have one less than you!

I see you reverted avatars quickly after mr.fohat asked!

I was going to eventually anyway :p

This is the avatar I am familiar with!

Or this one?  Who remembers this one?

I know all

Maybe I am colour blind and is still yellow.

I was not the only one who saw this http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLACK-FACTORY-Click-Clack-SKULL-TOPRE-Keycap-BLUE-Factory-2nd-/161930889926?hash=item25b3d54ac6:g:~RYAAOSwCQNWgPiP Does anyone here think that the clack will actually sell or not really?

If I can suddenly raise more money than I've ever had then it will sell just like that.

I am certain you have had more than that at one point since that is about the same price as renting a place for a month as long as it isn't a big city.

is $100 a more accurate pricing for F2 blue clack? Do all F2 caps of the same color have exact same shades or do they also vary from f2 to f2?

US$600 is about AUD$827 which is way less than the monthly rent I'm paying now.  In Melbourne, but.

I think that's a bit high for me, but considering clack prices, I think $100 or less would be nice. Some people will pay $200 or more though, crazy.

And they do vary, darker or lighter I think. My red f2 is dark and I love it.

That's kinda the point of F2 - each one is different, and thus unique.

$400 to $600 is just crazy though.

It doesn't seem like that long ago that F2s sold for $50 and regular single colors were $65.  Only the rarest of the rare were $150+.  Of course there was also a time before that when they were even cheaper; c'est la vie.

But in all seriousness, I really don't think an F2 should go for more than $100, even today.  If you need keyboard bling that bad, there's plenty of other stuff out there to buy.  Clack's work is top-notch, but you'd be doing yourself a favor to look elsewhere at that point.
