Goddamnit. Note to self (and other idiots): turn off "Warn on new reply blah blah" notification that doesn't let you post and then it's locked again.

under 10 was the hint no way I was gonna risk guessing the correct one by actually guessing under 10 :p 17 is still wrong!

I think numbers over 10 qualify
Because they are numbers

But anything that isn't a number should theoretically be thrown out

All in all
Who knows how Seņior Clack will decide

Sure, but the post was to guess how many he had and he gave that it was under 10.  If you guess over, you're not really guessing the number since you know for a fact it's wrong.  You can only really be guessing if it's under 10.

Yeah but then everyone guesses 11 and it just becomes "the 13th person to post wins", and that's no fun.

If he does that, and excluding people who guessed 10, Ampharoaster  is the first potential winner, which means I was too fast, not too slow.  Even though I lose no matter what, I think eliminating people who guessed above 9 goes with the spirit of the rules.  Clackman is free to do as he chooses though.

It was open for what, 2.5 pages of posts? Maybe he is doing it that way.

because by the time that loaded and I clicked to submit again it was like "there were 6 submission since you tried posting, are you sure you want to post" Then it was like "I am sorry the thread is locked?"

HEY EVERYBODY, READ THIS

advice for active participants:
-refresh the reply page. this helps in two ways because it reduces the amount of burden you place on the server to load the full post page, while also helping you because it decreases the amount of steps you need to take to post, and decreases overall load time for you as well (easier to display a small box than a page full of mspaint pics).
-watch spy. it will likely take a **** as we get deeper into the event and the server struggles to deliver full functionality to the overwhelming amount of users, but for now it's good for at least seeing if clack posts/what the day's info is.
-disable post reply notifications. it's almost impossible to participate with this feature left on (but be mindful that you will no longer be notified if someone has posted the same information you're about to reply with on other threads).
-don't listen to first-time cv participants (some of them like to dabble in fake clacks, nice la).

that's really all there is to it. you do that, you'll put yourself in a good position to win (barring some clack ****ery). good luck!
