Well, I had a dream last night that click clack updated his heads up thread, so I guess I'm completely beyond redemption now. Key caps have infiltrated my subconscious.

Now you have reached the next level, and should plan to close any countdown timer associated with 4grabs, and use your intuition to send that email.  Targetting scanner?  Who needs one!  Use the force, Luke!

Imagine a clack with a solid color body and translucent eyes. The stem is also translucent and the eyes go completely through the top of the clack. Now illuminate it from the back with a led and only the eyes glow red or yellow... Imagine how awesome that would be.

Ok, I'm out of here, I need a real therapy... lol

Fantastic read Ray thank you , I couldn't of said it better myself. They are rare limited number items so that means they are rare collectibles. I don't understand how people can't see that.

one can easily say that they are each worth $300 and ek and cc* are being nice to people by only charging $20.

do you REALLY want to take the time to call bunnylake an *******?

*cc can damn well charge however much per hour he wants to; he can just as easily give a discount on his hourly rate when ek buys them from him.

There isn't anything wrong with the people in the market.  It's what happens with the bickering and flipping right after a regular sale which is the issue.

Yeah I wish people would do one of these: keep it as part of their collection, trade for a cap theyd rather have, sell it so they can buy the cap they want.
Not this: Enter the contest, sell it for $, Not buy a different clack.

Exactly, EK could charge WAYYY more and still they would have to do a lottery. CC is a great guy.

do you REALLY want to take the time to call bunnylake an *******?

(Attachment Link)

i'm saying that we can all agree that bunnylake is a nice guy that gives away highly valuable freebies worth alot of his time and money.  he is NOT an ahole.

cc is a guy who makes $300 keycaps, but then decides to be a nice guy and ends up giving it to the general members of the public for $20.  so he is like bunnylake; which is to say he is ALSO a nice guy.

i'm stating a similiarity between CC and bunnylake.

when bunnylake gives away stuff for free, does that mean the items he gives out are worth nothing?  of course not.

therefore, when CC only charges $20, does that mean that a clack is only worth $20?  nope, not in the slightest.

if someone goes to say "OF COURSE a cc is only worth $20", then I would say "does that mean bunnylake is an ******* because he's only giving out free items?".  the answer to that question is "NO!"

summary: just because someone gives you a discount on something (even if it's the same discount to every single person), it doesn't change the original value of that item.

this 'comparison' extends out quite far into the whole 'retail price' drama that I don't want to waste my time or anyone elses' with.

That could be a thing - wonder if CC has thought of it ...
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I'm not so sure about aromatic Clarks - after a while the smell would wear off and the magic would be lost.

He should make those gel filled bath balls but CC skull shaped. I'm a shower guy but I'd put them in a little display dish in the bathroom. Or clack soaps!!  Man I sound like a girl!!

Yes I agree that the next step is that they literally make you high somehow. Like smokeable caps or something, made of hash. This may actually be a good scheme for smuggling narcotics across borders actually. Let's think about this.
