I was F5'ing and was able to catch it but boy was I wrong when I thought that I didn't need a mouse, as the damn company laptop's touchpad just couldn't get me to the Reply button fast enough with the constant scrolling of new posts being made.  I've never witnessed the madness that is Clackvent firsthand before but I at least almost got in this time, now I just gotta be 10 seconds faster next time!

Still trying to optimize Tapatalk on my iPhone. When everyone posts there's an endless stream of popups notifying me even though I have the drop down style of notifications enabled in settings.

Yup. Dont know why it does that. On my old phone it didnt do that, but that one was also on an older iOS so that might have been the key.

What is your notification set to? Banners or Alerts?

Banners.

I never use Alerts on anything since they're so annoying lol.

I have set to banners too. But freaking alerts paralyze Tapatalk during Clackvent. Didn't work that way last year but like you said both Tapatalk and iOS have changed versions since then.
I'm back.

The more winners the more chances I have. I hope I win closer to the beginning than the end because it will be really nerve wracking otherwise.

You know, the fact that the after Hoff and I rule made it so that three people won actually makes me kind of happy that that was the rule that time.  Cool to see so many people winning.

Does he ever open the post outside of the 6 hours I sleep herein europe? :(

Last year he did, I missed a couple while at work and got posts in throughout the evening and pre-midnight - I got in about 30 entries over the couple of months and most of the ones in the early hours I wasn't sharp enough to actually post while dozing off watching spy.  He also opened it much later - 1-1:40 as it's been for me so far feels like I could have got in, when it's 4-6am it's easier to accept missing out.

Just enjoy the randomness in this thread, that's what makes Clackvent great.  Getting a cap is a bonus :)

Last year, I remember having my phone go off crazy loud in the middle of the night and I would somehow enter through tapatalk half asleep at 3am.

We have plenty of time to have late night surprise openings.

Some were also say at 11pm and then the next at 2am a few hours later

Don't bother with the email notifications. Get Tapatalk and use those notifications. After Clack posts you pretty much have to be on your toes and ready to post in the thread.

The emails have come so far at least twenty minutes late. Thank goodness I have Tapatalk, and then I keep the page open when I'm at my desk.

Tapatalk has been late for me the last few times. I have it set to instant, but I'm not getting the notifications until a few minutes after. Yesterday's, I didn't get the notification until 8 minutes after. Not sure how to fix it.

Maybe an Arduino programmed to watch the thread and hooked up to a canine shock collar would be effective.
