Unfortunately it's the best I could figure out, and short of disabling notifications in the app (which defeats the whole purpose), I don't think there's a way to turn them off. It definitely sucks for events like these where it's open immediately after he posts, as you just get barraged by the notifications.

You don't have Tapatalk? If you subscribe to the thread, you'll get a notification when CC posts (you'll also get a bajillion when he unlocks it, caveat emptor). Alternatively if you subscribe via GH you get can an email when he posts/unlocks it (you'll also get a slow drip of emails that will seem to last an eternity, like a slow waterboarding for your phone, caveat emptor).

The only post I made by watching the computer was my first one where you had to be 6th. I was 3rd. I've posted in all the other ones via tapatalk notification. I'm just having fun watching the madness. Winning was unexpected to say the least.

Last night I was pretty happy because I actually noticed the thread open almost right away and had a reply ready to send off but then I read the rules and realized I'd have to get a screenshot which didn't happen in time.  It is kind of fun watching the thread and the absolute flood of replies going in when it opens though

I don't think the people doing stuff like that think that they are cheating, they probably just see it as bending the rules or as doing whatever is needed to win and possibly even see it as a good thing.  Personally, I would feel the same as you because I don't think it's right to do, but I'm not going to assume everyone doing it feels the same way.
