I actually hung out with the guy who plays Drew on Falling Skies in Austin when I was out there for an interview. He's a really nice guy. I was at a bar, had no clue who he or the other people he was with were, and kind of insinuated my way into their group. We started talking and hung out and had a great night and went out again with some other people the next night. It made me like that show even more.

If I had to pick one comedic television series as my favorite from my past or now, it is and probably always will be "That 70s Show". It holds a special place in my heart and really brings me back.

As with everything with me, I go through phases. I recently stopped watching most of the TV shows I used to watch regularly.. In recent years I had a pretty big fondness for procedural dramas--like, all of them. I try to give genre/supernatural/sci-fi/fantasy shows a fair shake but more often than not they're either too stressful or too ridiculous for me to stick with them. I'm a big fan of (good) animated shows--whether they're for kids or adults. My love for anime waxes and wanes. I absolutely love certain types of BBC documentaries, but rarely find new ones I enjoy. And I have a few reality TV "guilty pleasure" shows I enjoy.

As for current favourite overall TV shows: Game of Thrones (no, I haven't read the books) and Sherlock, hands down.

Right now, just Game of Thrones and Master Chef.

As someone who read the Songs of Fire and Ice books years ago, I'm quite pleased with how the show is unfolding.

Oh and I really used to love 24. I think they're working on a new season now.

Along the same lines, although more sci-fi based than fantasy, is Orphan Black. Tatiana Maslany does an absolutely phenomenal job in the lead role(s).

Didn't see it on your list, you may have already watched the first season.

I caught up with the last few episodes last night, but I don't think I'm going to watch the next season. I felt like the writing was pretty lazy (Oh, look! The story is slowing down, so let's knife somebody in the stomach!), and my suspension of disbelief is pretty strained when an entire FBI team can't catch a single bad guy before they walk up to the police station and knife someone in the stomach.

For other shows that seem off to a good start, I'm cautiously optimistic about Hostages, The Blacklist, and Sleepy Hollow. I hear good things about The Americans as well, have only watched the first two episodes.
