What is your least favorite key on your keyboard? Why?

I have to use ampersand all the time for my job and I'm unable to hit that key without pivoting my right hand. It's either a pivot to the left with my index finger or a pivot to the right with my middle finger.

That's a good thing! You can remap them to anything you want.

For me, it's the [ and ] because I speak French and in French they are used for some accents on letters that are not so common but common enough to be annoying since I always mistype these 2 (and I have to use them with shift and just before the letter that requires the accent).

For typing, accents sucks hard!

After I switched this to backspace after switching to Colemak, I don't mind the key anymore.

I agree with the OP in that ampersand is really awkward to get to.  For the most part, after switching to Colemak, most of the keys aren't too bad to get to.

I honestly don't see why people complain so much about their stabilizers. Even before I clipped my Cherry stabilizers, it really wasn't that big of a problem.

I've got a lot of keyboards, and only some have cherry stabilizers.

Cherry costar, the stabilizers on this RD with NKRO, the stabilizer on my clicky hall effect keyboard, my linear hall effect keyboard, etc. They all tend to bind up unless I hit them over the switch, negating the point of a stabilizer. Might as well switch to 7bit layout on my phantom.

I absolutely hate all the keys on modern Cherry keyboards. I am positive if I measure them, I will find they are in fact, somewhat more narrowly spaced than a Model M. This makes me hate them a lot. I frequently move my hands from the keyboard and there is absolutely nothing as annoying as going to hit ^W and instead getting Win+E or Shift+3.

Easily CapsLock. I didn't even bother with it on my ErgoDox, and every other board has it remapped to Control (the way god intended). Seconded by Scroll Lock (completely useless in everything except Excel and KVMs).

As a software dev, I find that I use pretty much every other key quite frequently (yes, even the Context Menu/Apps key).

I second that. Although I could put 5/% and 6/^ in the same category. They're a reach so you have to move your entire arm when you need to type one of them.

Windows Key! I hated those so much when I still had a keyboard that had them. My daily driver right now doesn't. So.. number two. Either Capslock or Escape. Capslock is that guy who just wants to be useful but always ends up getting in the way. Escape because I'm an optimist and don't need that ****.

I agree with the OP in that ampersand is really awkward to get to.  For the most part, after switching to Colemak, most of the keys aren't too bad to get to.

Caps lock key comes in quite handy for the hockey sub-reddit.  Overtime = all caps.  Double OT = bold caps.  Triple OT = italic bold caps.  The trash talk thread is always all caps.
