This is going to sound like a silly question but... How durable are these caps with regards to everyday wear?

I have one of the lion keyngs as my esc key on the keyboard I use for work. Sure, I don't press esc all that often, but I find myself absentmindedly touching and running my fingers over it a lot. Is that going to wear it down? It's one of my favorite keys right now, so I'd be pretty sad if I ended up damaging it. :c

I would be very surprised if it were to get damaged from touching.

Urethane is a chemical resistant substance.  My urethanes are usually 70-85D hardness and the resins are designed for prototyping machine parts/special effects.

I have hammered one of these with a hammer hard enough to crack it, so be careful around hammers.

Keep me updated though.  I have a few of my own keys I use every day and I watch to see if sunlight/other factors are changing their composition.

It's great to hear how durable these are and that you've hammer tested them :p

Good thing I don't own a hammer. :P
I'll let you know if I notice anything, but I kind of doubt there will be any noticeable change anytime soon either. I was just randomly thinking about how worn down and shiny my old ABS caps had gotten, and I'm not at all familiar with plastics or resins or anything, so that got me a little concerned.

You don't have UV LEDs by any chance to see what it would look like with back-black-lighting?
