das III switches: tabs visible?
« on: Sat, 08 November 2008, 00:56:49 »
Does anyone know if the cherry switches on the das III are flush mounted with the backplate (making the little tabs on the switches not accessible) or if its possible to access the tabs (and thus pop off the top of the keyswitch to access the spring and the stem)?
thanks!

If somebody opens his/her Das III please check the pcb for mfgr logos/names. I'm curious as to who actually does the production.

I thought it was a rebranded cherry g80-3000? With the III I think they only added the usb hub and changed the form factor, right?

That was the Das II. The III is made in Taiwan, IIRC.
