Yeah, you just need to find the fastest way to clean them; if you're doing it weekly, methinks a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol would take too long.
I'm a super germaphobe, so I haven't had to clean my keys yet, but I know how even the natural oils from clean hands can eventually coalesce into some sort of brownish goo on the keys/mouse. If you want to keep it really clean, the trick is simply to find a faster way, like making a pass across the keys with a damp washcloth. No ideas come to mind after that :-).
