Ducky shine3 or wasd v2?
« on: Sun, 01 September 2013, 20:21:25 »
Well i'm looking into buying my first mech keyboard soon and i was wondering what you recommend for a keyboard.

What i was thinking either the shine 3 TkL (expecting it to be out soon) or the wasd v2 but i can't make up my mind over the two and i was wondering if anyone could throw in their opinion on a keyboard, my budget is 160-170 max on the 150 or lower is always nice!

I prefer Cherry mx blues also, And i also prefer tenkeyless boards.

They are pretty different... Shine III is backlit and you can select the color of backlighting, whereas V2 is not backlit.  I'm sure both will be great keyboards, but you'll be paying more for Shine III due to the LEDs..  You will have to wait a while for Shine 3 TKL versions, as they still have not been released.

Both keyboards cost exactly the same. But i do enjoy what i can do with the colours of the key caps on the wasd v2 i also like the backlighting of the shine 3.

But i'm also open to other recommendations.

Buy both, sell the one you don't like.

Ah right with keycaps.  There's a barebones version for $100, without caps.  Many of us already have extra cap sets, so I was only considering the barebones version.  I think Ducky Shine III is a better deal at that unless you need Dvorak or Colemak--if you're going to be buying the version of V2 with caps.

Yes I knew the v1 wouldn't fit the vortex ALU cases.
