Question about the original Poker DIP switches

I have looked around and I cannot find a clear answer to a question, so my apologies if this has already been covered somewhere.

On the original Poker (I think the exact name is Poker X, I'm not talking about the more recent Poker II), there is a DIP switch that does "Window_L Change to FN_L" (sic). It's how it is described in the manual.

My question is: does it swap the Fn and Win keys (like on the FC660C for example), or does it make the left Win key a second Fn key?

Since I do not have the keyboard, I cannot simply try.

Yes, and I hope it does, but by reading some reviews I am left under the impression that it turns the left Win key into a second Fn.

BTW, this tells something about reviews. Every one of them describes the same things over and over in great lengths, like the texture of the keys or the font of the side prints. And a lot of time went into taking HQ pictures of the thing. But some basic features are not even covered.

These guys would lick the PCB and tell you about the taste, but they did not even try the various DIP switches options.  )

I am pretty sure it just turns LWin into LFun. That is what the Poker II says it does. Although I am confused about some things regarding the Poker II. I saw one review saying that you couldn't switch the LCtrl and Capslock keys at the hardware level, but I want to know from someone who has a Poker II. It seems like you should be able to, since neither of them trigger any programming functions, although one of the DIP switches does switch LWin/LFfun and Caps, so maybe that would cause problems. I don't understand how people are making boards anymore that don't have a Caps -> Ctrl dip switch...

I have one, it doesn't swap them. It just makes the left windows key also an fn. Resulting in having 2 fn keys.

Poker X you mean?
Same my Poker X can't switch on DIP 4
I' don't know too   if can, it easy to use arrow keys on WASD

I tested it on one of my Poker X boards. According to the manual it's supposed to turn the left Win Key into a left FN key, but in my experience it did not do that. The left WinKey no longer registered as a WinKey, but it did not function as an FN key either. The right FN key continued to work, as expected, but the left FN key did not allow me to use any of the FN layer items.


I don't believe DIP Switch 4 is functional. I vaguely remember someone saying that in a thread somewhere, but I can't recall it at the moment. In my experience, using a Mac, it did not work as intended.

So by activating switch#4, you have deactivated the Win key, which is what switch 1 does.

Switch 2 ON = FN_L(Window_L) , ALT_L Swap Position
Switch 3 ON = Caps Lock , Ctrl_L Swap Position
Switch 4 ON = Window_L Change To FN_L


Here is what yours are (Poker X with the production mistake):

Switch 4 ON = Window_L(FN_L) Lock
Switch 3 ON = FN_L(Window_L) , ALT_L Swap Position

SW 1 on the Poker II turns Left Caps into a Left WIN key. To make it a CTRL you have to program it to one and then toggle the programmed layer on.
