I predict this will go for a lot. It looks like it has the sought-after wordperfect keycaps.

There is a whole list of proxies in the sticky in this forum. I'm sure if you PM one of them, maybe they'll help.

I would probably value the keycaps alone at the price it's currently at.

You can get some of those keys from a wheelwriter, but that backspace is gold, The F# row, too, is only available here, if I recall correctly.

I think it will stay under 200$. It looks like the condition is not so good as the last one. But the keycaps are interesting...

the "esc" is front printed. It's not uncommon for IBM. (terminal keyboards and "odd keycap" keyboards like this and the airline ones.

It's missing a keycap as well. Even still some people are interested. For example:

The missing unique keycap is on the Print Screen key and the Print Screen key for this model is a normal Model M keycap. So the missing keycap in this case is easy to deal with.

No, it's a unique key cap -- see here:

I think  it is labelled "Task" and then something in green underneath that.

Check the keyboard images. The unique Task/Menu keycap from the upper right key is on the Print Screen key and is not missing. It's just on the wrong key. The only missing keycap is the Print Screen keycap.

I don't get it either. They really aren't worth much more than $150 if they are in really good condition. I guess the demand has doubled in the last few months?

They are worth precisely what someone is willing to pay for them, today.

It is really starting to get pathetic to see people on this forum whining about prices going up, especially when single skull-shaped keycaps are selling for hundreds of dollars.

Supply and demand. When supply is fixed and demand rises, prices rise at least as fast.

End of story.

If you want low prices, build a time machine.

I agree it's silly to pay a lot for skull caps. I also find it very strange that I was able to buy 2 SSKs a few months ago for $170 or less (each) and one was NIB. You took that quote out of context because I also asked if demand had doubled in the last few months. I'm very familiar with the concept of supply and demand.

The number of people demanding them may not have doubled in recent months, but the degree of certain individuals' desire or lust probably has.

This is probably exactly what's going on.  I bet there are 3 or 4 people who really want an SSK and have deep pockets.  Same shiz happened with F AT's a year ago.  The price jumped to $200+, then fell down to around $100 for a month or two...now it's reached equilibrium at $150.
