It looks like a non-spherical SA profile.

I bet there's a number of people that would love to try that out.

Wow, that is actually really neat.

Is there a PCB for Phantom that will work with all those mods?

I'll eventually post some pics. I have two of these. One is missing caps and no cable. The other is from 1988 and in great condition, just needs a bit of cleaning and possibly a retrobrite case bath.

What switch do they use?

Haven't check if the caps are cherry compatible yet. Every cap has a rubber dome that holds the cap up, and is the only force when pressing the keys.

I'll just take some iphone pics...brb in 5 mins.

So they fit very nicely on MX stems, but sadly the walls seem a bit thick and if you don't hit exactly in the middle they seem to catch the edge and make it not press smoothly. Just not really viable to use on a Cherry board at all.

Here are a few pics.

No worries, wish I could say they fit on MX great!

As for the boards, they are lighter than you would think for such an old keyboard. And the switches are pretty light too, I mean all it is to push down is that little rubber dome.

    HOLY TEN FOOT SPACE BAR BATMAN!!!
I bet flipping that thing would change the center of gravity for the keyboard

Seriously though, that is a pretty sweet layout and THICK DS

So they are like linear rubber dome?   :'( :'( :'( :'(

Light tactile bump immediately followed by light linear action.

Personally I kind of like them, they don't feel too bad. And they are very quiet.

Oh and to add, the blue legends are just pad printed I believe. They scrape right off. Although on my '88 board, somehow not a single blue legend looks worn out.

If anyone is interested, this seller has more for sale. He is where I got mine, and he will accept lower offers :)

There are a few interesting ones that have the same switch type, but green stems, including that one made in Japan.
