tj, that's something noble to do. But I don't want you to do it- I don't want people to think that spending $100 on something that costs $50-70 is right. The worst thing I could do is waste your money, because a clack is a clack; it's lovely, it's art. But it's not something to divide a community over, or make strangers, even if very generous, donate money so that I can further the idea that clack-profiteering is acceptable.
If you bought the clack from somewhere reasonable and sold it to me for $50, I'd be delighted to buy. It's not worth your generosity, though. Thanks again for the offer, tj.

tj, I am at a loss. Perhaps I will have one thing to say, and that would be thank you. But I would also lie, because with all hope, I'll be able to afford a lovely kevlar cord with the money I was planning on getting a Shine with. I see now that it's not what we don't have, but it's about appreciating best what we have.

If for some reason this doesn't work out for the parties involved, I'd be forever grateful for a shot at the Oktoberfest. I'm doing my best not to get caught up in the CC price insanity, but as a lover of art (and beer), this key really gets me.

you are looking for a cheap model M?

Try asking Fohat or Wcass. I think they both have model m terminals. There's also another guy but I can't remember his name. Stick a teensy inside, and you've got a plug and play, programmable model M. Heh, I am typing on one M122 right now, with like 30 keys programmed with my macros.

M Terminals are absolutely great. The cheapest, most bang for buck keyboards there are.
