I knew about those before starting my group buy but wanted something a little thicker and Cherry profile.
Is the Cherry profile different from any other keyboard? My two mechanical keyboards have Cherry keys (PBT Race and Ducky), will these keycaps be a different profile? Again, this information was once on the wiki but it seems gone now.
Cherry profile is differnet than the "oem profile" those other keys you have are. Many people (including myself) prefer cherry profile. Another noticeable difference is that the ends of cherry keycaps are pointed, whereas oem and especially SP profile keycaps are rounded.
I have two OEM profile keys on this keyboard right now: capslock and spacebar. I don't use one of those much, but you can easily see and feel the difference in height. it doesn't bother me.
What I want to see is extra POM spacebars be available. You can never have too many POM (or PBT) spacebars.
Wow, they have a White also. I think that I'm going to order these.
EDIT: Wait no, those are PBT. There are an 84-set of POM caps that are still in stock.
What is the difference? I think that GH once had a wiki that explains it, but the page is now blank: http://wiki.geekhack.org/index.php?title=Keycap_Basics
PBT and POM are different palstics with different properties.
For example, POM is much less hard, much more tough, and has a lower friction coefficient than PBT
Banggood's POM caps:
- 87 Keys
- Can rip out switch stems
Wow, really? I've not had POM do that to me before, as the friction is so low.
