I lost some respect for my Dad today. Not sure if that's ever happened before.

How come?

He made a mistake, realized how stupid the mistake was, sat on it for a few hours, then tried to blame me. I used logical thinking and some science to prove that he ****ed up and not me. What bothers me is that it was a mistake that he couldn't have missed. He knew it was his **** up and still tried to blame me to make himself feel better.  If I wasn't smart about figuring out what went wrong I'd feel like **** right now for screwing up. As soon as I explained what I thought (and what actually happened) he just dropped the subject. It's tire mark/ paint left on the garage related.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

I lost some respect for my Dad today.

Not an easy job, parenting.

My teenagers are testing me, and they are getting stronger as I am getting weaker.

I strive to be as excellent a man as my father was, and don't think that I have succeeded.

It's tire mark/ paint left on the garage related.

It's always the stupid stuff.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Ah. Is he one to do something like that a lot? I find I encounter a lot of people who will deny wrongdoing over and over again until they are blue in the face.

No never happened before and I'm still really confused why he made the choice to.

Take into account people have bad days, maybe he's dealing with something else, he's probably a good guy, had a ****ty day and its just another thing to add to the list of crap thats my fault. I've had days like that, don't want to keep adding to list of my "**** ups" even when they were clearly my fault.

Give him another chance, especially since, as you say its the first time you've seen this  ;D

so overkill released a new heist for payday 2
its called meltdown and son the only thing melting down right now is me mentally

first you run into a terrrrrrible ****ing version of the murkywater warehouse, spend 10 minutes getting killed because there are like literally 5 snipers with sightlines you wouldnt believe and aimbot thats out of this world, then suddenly the nightclub soundtrack (not the cool main one im talking the ugly background track) assaults you out of nowhere but not overlapping, just squeaking on in the background at the same volume, and it follows you man

it goes away maybe but its always there
waiting
hiding
...

and then you ****ing think all is well there cant be more ****ups now: ding dong ur assumption is wrong
suddenly shopping mall soundtrack (again the lame background **** you hear before it goes loud), just like the nightclub soundtrack, same issue

AND SUDDENLY MOTHER****ING F O R K L I F T S that you have to drive for like half a kilometer at the slowest speeds possible with no chance of survival because of those bulletproof swats, snipers, bulldozers and about 5 turrets all aiming and shooting constantly, then the nightclub soundtrack again and like
all of it is ****ing broken, there are missing captions, ****ed up dialogue timing and like
this is the worst ever
i should make a "payday 2 meltdown anti hype" thread because that **** was ****ing garbage
i need professional treatment

edit: picking up bags can kick players in it apparently and no, i dont have hoxhud installed

I thought Payday 2 was alright, but it just seemed like the levels were easy for the first 5 minutes or so, then you hit a wall and it's insanely hard not that fun.

(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

If it makes you feel better, I supported the Conservatives and actually voted Labour.

In the constituency where I live, the Tories won with a 16,000 vote majority. What is the point in supporting anyone else?

I don't care how people voted, what I care about is all my social media being filled with idiotic quotes and posts about politics one way or another when they clearly know **** all... hell I had one stupid **** on my fb who thought Labor were a socialist party!

And this is after all the social boasting that "well i voted" like voting is something to be proud off or something to boast about on facebook... i dont boast about paying ****ing taxes for the NHS every week/month when I get paid and taxes go out so why the **** should anyone boast about voting??!!1

No but my parents own a house there.

I tried to engage the Scottish members of deskothority to find out why they wanted indipendance in the first place, and yeah got the same answer; **** the English. Even though the only reason Scotland became part of the UK was because they had no economy and needed help. They do amazingly well from our taxes and what do we get in return? Endless **** and less power for our own government. Let's not forget Scotland has the population of what, Birmigham and a bit? When do the West Midlands get a referendum on independence?

Can I get independence from the West Midlands please?

I hate the Scottish. I respect them, and they can do whatever they want with their own country. It's their funeral. But they could all sink into the North Sea and I wouldn't shed a single ****. People who seem to give a **** about their country are massive ****s about it.

Lmao but serously the sovereignty of Yorkshire please

Also on a real matter it would be nice for everyone else to be able to cast a vote on if we actually want Scotland to stay with us but I fear that would be a no right off the bat, also kinda don't want to lose them for fear that our currency would lose value (kinda sad but really would suck to get a 1v1 on the usd I don't want monopoly money)

I'm buying a house. I paid my solicitors the initial £300 to start searches on the 24th of April. That money still hasn't left my account (I paid by cheque) and as of this morning, they hadn't told the seller's solicitors that they were actually working on our behalf. I called, left a message. Called back half an hour later, woman was in but couldn't find my file. Said she would call back when she found it. Called back half an hour later and she had "just found it". Said that they musn't have got their first email so they will send another.
in my impression most of the things in this country are done this way. in russia we call it "through ass".

Keycon is the same weekend as three concerts I wanna see: Dipset, 3lau, and Judas Priest. Oh and there's a retro game expo that weekend too. Why did the scheduling Gods have to put everything then!

Dips > everything

Also I'm hungry, don't know what I want. It's raining so I don't wanna go drive anywhere.

Thing is...it's still a rumor. They haven't announced it so I'm not even sure if I can get tickets or if it's happening. :(. Dipset dipset the national anthem.

Do you look at some electronic device (smart phone, tablet, PC) just before going to bed?

If so, the blueish light emitted from them tricks your brain into waking up.

I suffered from this too, except after only 1-2 hours sleep.

I switched to reading a paper book by a low wattage bulb before sleeping, now I can sleep for hours before waking.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
