Madcatz Strike BT Keyboard
« on: Wed, 30 October 2013, 00:08:01 »
Anyone see this yet?  Might be interesting for controlling HTPC or for someone who is into scissor switches.  Comes in red, black and white too.

That has a lot of wasted space for a "mobile" keyboard.

I don't like how the [ up arrow ] key is inbetween the [ . ] and [ / ] key.

How very nice it is to move the "/ and ?" key especially in days where accessing remote data is a must...

Besides, yeah, looks VERY compact by the look of it...

I know this is meant for gamers, but it is just horrendous. I also don't like how they moved the pipe over by the left shift. That's one of the things I'm not crazy about on the Model F XT's. I mean, gamers are supposed to be able to hit the keys blind, but if the keys are in totally different locations, then it is not a benefit to them. Also, look how much space between left shift and the space bar. Makes it harder to hit both with your left hand.

dont front, if you were 6 years old, or a gamer, you would totally think this was the best portable keyboard ever.

I'm a gamer myself, but unfortunately it seems that nowadays "gamer" has sort of become a pejorative term with almost the same meaning as "retard".

Second time in two days I've seen that pic.  First with the new Cooler Master keyboard and now this.  I do agree though, they both look like keytars.

Match it with a cyborg rat mouse and a phantom case and I think it wouldn't look terrible...

In my mind theres a big difference between people who enjoy video games and "gamers". My girlfriend plays video games all the time, but she isnt a gamer. She likes doing things outside and stuff. She also bathes and dresses appropriately. She isnt at all embarrassing to be seen with and she has never once declined to go out because she had to play a video game instead.

But yeah, when I see madcatz stuff, I cant help picturing their target demographic as ether the gay kid with the swastika from curb your enthusiasm.
or this fine young fellow... im not even going to post that one, I dont want to offend anyone.

There. There we go.

In fairness, this could also be done with a Model F-122, but it's more of a club.
