Here's what I got!  I'm pretty stoked about it, I've been without a headphone stand/hanger for years and the ornaments are awesome.   :thumb:  And some blue keycaps!  :)

Thanks SS!  I have a pretty strong guess as to who this might be from.  :P

Synopsis: Noko Leather Palm Rests are Amazing

http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=51762.0

Work in RL has been very trying lately so pics soon, but I wanted to say thanks to my secret santa who is, I believe jolonnar. I had no idea I even needed one of his palm rests until I opened my gift and found a brand new black leather palm rest. Puts everything else I have ever used to shame. Exactly the type of classy look that I prefer and I couldn't be happier with the craftsmanship (and I'm even more thrilled that it's hand-crafted ... I know there's a lot of hoopla about the Handarbeit set, and I don't know German, but I know what "arbeit" means and now that I have this palm rest I prefer to translate Handarbeit as Hand-crafted and in that regard, this is my "Handarbeit."

Also.. my SS gifted me a couple of metal Cherry and GeekHack stickers. I'm not into flash but I am seriously considering making room for them on my boards because this gift makes me a little sentimental about Bunny's Secret Santa project. Particularly because in his note my SS made it clear that he put some effort into this and I really enjoyed that extra little bit of good-vibes over the holiday. Thanks Secret Santa!!

Also.. the only reason I know (or think I know) it's jolonnar is because of a slip where I could infer he made the palm rest I was holding in my hands and drooling over (and then the International tie in, that kind of helped too).

One more thing: jolonnar is the guy behind the Noko store front.

Here's hoping that everyone had a merry xmas not just here in GH, but also out there in RL!

P.S.

And my Xmas wish for everyone is to read more. And to do more. Read more and do more outside of your comfort zone.
If you haven't read Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Start there. Get the version that includes Brave New World Revisited and read the Revisited part first. Why? It'll give you a much better reason to want to read it. Or read Candide by Voltaire.

Whatever you're most afraid of is a good indication of what you need to do next.

Handmade and custom SS gifts are the best, I can't wait to see pics of those wrests korrelate.  Noko's stuff is dead sexy. If I hadn't already made myself some wrist rests, I probably would have figured out a way to afford one of his some time ago.

Hey now, it's not OUR fault that USPS takes 11 days to get things across the US for internation shipping, despite the estimates on their international shipping times!

My sister gave me her old free-standing mirror before she moved to her new apartment. I'm thinking of standing it right in front of the mirror so when I use the mirror, Burgundy will be right behind me ... as odd as that sounds. It's by far one of the more enjoyable gifts I've received this Christmas so a wholehearted Thank you to my secret santa :thumb:

Heh, it was kind of hard for me to be too secret given the nature of the gift involved.  I am so happy you like it, and thanks very much for the kind words :)
I'm proud of that piece.

I apologise to my Santa, too.  korrelate's note to me was really personalized and helpful (and the one I put on my form was not!).  But I'm the kind of person who likes surprises so when I get mine I'm sure I will be happy.

One note of disclosure too: I'm a she.  I prefer keeping quiet about it but wanted to be honest!
Best wishes to all for the new year.

I had a really busy christmas, lots of traveling and lack of sleep.
My dad had to work all the days I visited him and overall it was just a really busy christmas.

So it was nice to have a package waiting for me at home when I finally got around to being home.
It contained lots of a nice note, candy and a few keycaps! Was quite happy to get a Zelda heart keycap, because I've never tried tried thick PBT before. o:

Finally got some time to place the keycaps on my keyboard that my Secret Santa sent!:)

This is my first time typing on these (Cherry profile) keycaps, I could already feel the difference. Cherry profile really does have a different feel from OEM profile. Really loving it so far! I also love the sharp corners on each keycap...gives it a really clean look to it. These caps will either stay on my TKL or on my upcoming 60%! Thanks again SS! :) I still have no clue who you are :P

Pleasantly surprised with my secret santa present patiently waiting for me (been out of town). This is quite possibly, the best gifts ever, the gift of bacon!

Included a hand-written letter (haven't received one of these in many-many years) from my Secret Santa, honestly one of the best and most personal gifts I've received in a long time.

Finally got around to posting my gift. I can quite easily guess who it is. :D

Anyway, I got some awesome Polish chocolate bars that I've actually been looking for for ages, some awesome rose oil and a set of nail polish caps. All in all, a very nice gift.  Thank you secret santa! Now where's bunny with those names? :D

I think the best gift is that one with the spoon. Someone might have gotten a Realforce, but Realforces don't have spoons.
