Help with my Korean Board

I have just bought a custom made korean board .  It uses a ps2avr PCB. When i plug it in, the led will flash for a split second then it would turn off. And sometimes when you press a key, it would light up the whole board. And pressing on the keys dosent register.
Anyone know what is going on?

It's a PS2 board, meaning not native plug-n-play USB. You need to have the cable already plugged in, then turn the computer on.

If that's an A87 PS2AVR, you can try holding down "U" as you plug it in for default USB mode.

Restarted with the keyboard plugged in.

DUH, you don't know that ps2 devices need the computer to be restarted?

No offence, but are you under 12? Only people born in the 21st century will be so unfamiliar with ps2 devices!

You should go easy on him. I had the same 'issue' when I first joined GH, but with an Access-IS keyboard. We all have a lot to learn.

I had no idea that that need to be done, the first keyboard i ever used was USB . Forgive me as i have sinned.

Rude and undeserved. Either you are under 12 yourself and/or you are just a jerk.

And for your information, with some computers/keyboards, you can hotplug a PS/2 keyboard and there is no problem at all.

Please use to ps2 conect.
It seems to be need a ps2 to usb converter or ps2aver usb extender.

Yup.  Some people haven't used PS/2 anything in a while either.  I haven't actively used PS/2 is something like 10 or 15 years, so it's not something I'd hold onto memory wise either.
