That said, it's an auction that doesn't worry me. I definitely can't afford any of these amazing things (wtf, gold plated keycaps now?), so I'll never bid.

I don't know, the SoWare R4 does not look retro in anyway, in fact I find the min bid $200 ridiculous, maybe someone could enlighten me here?

Pretty sure that's a Titanium finish. Fairly similar to the Titan KMACs. It does have a slightly brown or tan hue compared to Steel or Aluminum, however in person it really just looks gray. The flash brings out the other colors.
