« on: Mon, 25 November 2013, 09:47:27 »
Hi, I found a not working TTeSport Meka G unit with cherry black for 20 euros + shipping.

Is it work buying if to take switches and resell them(i'll keep the keycaps since are italian layout and can be usefull for other iso keyboard since i'm italian)?

Edit: crap i was sure to be in the keyboard subforum, if a mod can mode it i'll be really gratefull <.<

What is wrong with it do you know? It could be a simple repair. I suppose you can probably make the 20EUR back selling the switches, and maybe some other parts could be useful to someone for projects or mod practicing.

The guy said that the pc have problems to recognize the keyboard, sometime It can work for an hour or two but after that it stop to work.
I asked him if changing the cable could fix the problem but looks like the space for the connector is enought only for the included cable. I might be able to mod a cable to let it fit, but if it doesn't work even with that i don't really know how to fix it

Could be bad solder joint, maybe easy to fix with reflow.

For that price I would have picked it up just because that many switches could very well cost more than that.
